A Note From Boyd
Dear Pastors and Church Leadership,
I’m reaching out to you from Penn-York Camp and Retreat Center. My name is Boyd Koester and God has recently re-directed our Journey in life as most of you know, God often does this. Together my wife Crissie and I are serving here at PYC. I am The Camp Director (formerly Camp Administrator) and my wife continues her duties as The Office Manager. Serving here in Ministry is an honor and we are extremely blessed to be part of it.
The first thing that I would like to say is “Thank you”, to all of you for what you do for the glory of God's Kingdom! As God continues to open new doors and constantly directs our steps, He often keeps bringing certain things back up. One of the things that He’s been laying on my heart a lot is an opportunity to bring Pastors, church leadership teams, and Christian camps together to create and form a deeper relationship amongst us all. Before coming to PYC I had the opportunity to serve as an Elder, a council member, a Sunday school teacher, a youth leader and many other roles with-in a church body. During this time and my recent time here at PYC I have witnessed a huge need for church connection, and more specifically, for a deeper connection with area churches and the youth within our communities. We are all in the Ministry together and regardless of denomination, or involvement, I think we would all agree that we all share the same common goal… “To invite, lead and share with them the love of Jesus Christ”.
This is an invitation for you to join us in strengthening relationships with other churches in our area, and Penn-York Camp and the Ministry that we are all part of. We are planning a monthly breakfast here at Penn-York Camp and would love for you to join us. If you as a pastor are unable to attend, please use this as an invitation to your youth pastor, one of your elders or deacons, or even a devoted congressional member from your church. We would like to start this up and see where God takes it. We are completely open to adjusting dates and time frames to fit schedules as you give us feedback, so please share your thoughts. We want to know what works best for the group.
The plans are very simple: Come visit, Eat good food, Introduce yourself , and just fellowship together. I will share a few thoughts and future ideas. Stay or leave whenever you need to.
Thank you so much and we are very excited to watch what God does with this outreach!
“To Him be all the Glory” Boyd Koester
