Explorer Camp is a great opportunity for campers who love the outdoors and like to rough it some. Explorer Camp is in a remote location away from main camp, but still with in hiking distance of all of camp’s activities. Explorer campers sleep outdoors, prepare their meals over fires, learn outdoor living skills, and still stay connected with our Christ-centered programming. Although they still participate in ALL of camps activities, they also spend 1-2 nights on an off-site trip.

Due to closures at the Thompkins Campground Explorer 2 will no longer be taking its trip to Cowanesque Lake. Instead we will be taking campers to Lyman Run State Park where they will still have the opportunity to canoe and enjoy the beautiful area. Once camp is set up, they will enjoy their time hiking, fishing, swimming, building campfires and maybe even some frisbee golf! All meals will be prepared over the fire and both explorer camps will have the opportunity each day to spend time exploring bible digs and evening campfire chapels!

Required Deposit: $25 non-refundable deposit is required to secure registration and discounts.

Total Payment: PYC requests that the total cost of camp be paid before arrival to help speed up the check-in process.
